This box came about from the idea of making a functional object entirely from 0 value materials, using Reclaimed Redwood fenceposts from Topanga Canyon. With blue suede offcuts for the base and lining, the result is the perfect place to store your favourite jewelry.
The handcarved box top provides an additional sculptural dimension to the box, reminisent of the sea, or rained-on snow, while also allowing the beauty of the redwood grain to shine through.
Finished using an all natural oil finish, and made to order, the design can be adjusted to cater for your specific needs while ensuring minimal impact on the planet.
